it's abit like urban geog's Urban Renewal with the mix of the past and present, the historical french architecture left behind during the colonial period with modern restaurants, boutiques and pubs.

Shanghai bo wu guan! museum! Located near Raffles City shopping centre. eee it was really boring! Galleries after galleries of jade, currencies..i rather go to the urban planning exhibition or the wax museum. the audio guide was quite pointless coz it says nth much abt the exhibits, just the phoenix symbolises the empress, the dragon symbolises the emperor. DUH! ~ oh but jade gallery was awesome! we could see the workmanship, level of technology frm those jade pieces and dynasties after dynasties, as the chinese societies prosper, the jade pieces also became more sophisticated in their designs and carvings. n my sis said that she spent the whole day at the museum =.= ohmytian!

the dessert place located at the basement of Raffles City. the shopping mall has shops like guess, levi's, quite similar to Singapore actually. they even hve beard papa! =D
went to hotel for dim sum brunch. China Court. they hve the best char siew buns ever! fried char siew buns unlike the steamed ones at home, and they're covered in honey! yum! =))
